Hal Tribble was born in Charlotte, N.C. He received a Bachelor's of Arts in Architecture from North Carolina State University in 1968 and a Master's of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After working for prominent North Carolina architectural firms in Durham, Southern Pines, and Cahrlotte, he started his own firm, Hal Tribble Architect, in 1980.
